Monitored Alarm Systems - What is a monitored alarm system?

It is an alarm system that when triggered will send a signal to a monitoring station (also called as alarm receiving centre). With our customisable system designed planned and customised for your home, you can be assured of the level of competencies of these alarm devices.

Digital Communicator

Calls an alarm receiving centre who, if appropriate, can call the relevant emergency services (police or fire brigade), or your authorised keyholder. A Digital Communicator is a cost-effective way of communicating with the ARC, however, if the phone line is cut, the signal won't get through.

Dual Path Monitoring

Redcare GSM, and Dual Comm GPRS are all secure dual path signalling systems where if the primary path fails a secondary path will take over the signalling and the ARC will be alerted to the failure in communication. Meaning if either path is tampered with by an intruder, or is faulty, the alarm receiving centre will be alerted and the relevant emergency services, or your authorised keyholder, will be called.

Single path secure signalling

Where it is not possible to have dual path monitoring due to a poor signal on the radio path or no phone line or network, it is possible to use Redcare Classic (BT RedCare) and Dual Comm GPRS with one path enabled.

BT Redcare

A method of alarm signalling provided exclusively by British Telecom. This alarm signalling method only works with BT as your service provider.

Audible / Bells only burglar alarm system

This system is usually suitable for most domestic premises as long high valuable items are not kept in the premises. On activation, the burglar alarm sounds at the premises only. Activation just sets off an internal and external siren or bell.

However, for additional protection, this system can be upgraded with a speech dialler, whereby on activation of the alarm, you and up to a further three other people that you know and trust can be informed as to the situation on their landline or mobile phones so they can investigate appropriately.
